MICHIANA ADDITION This home on Lake Michigan, which has been in the family since the 1950’s, needed major work to bring it up to date and to accommodate children and grandchildren. At the same time the owners wanted to maintain its cottage-like look and feel. We accomplished this with the distinctive corner window unit, reminiscent of the original, and by maintaining the scale of the house. Still we added three bedrooms, including a master suite at the back of the house, which also enjoys a lake view. We enlarged the kitchen and living room; and added a generous outdoor room, i.e. a spacious deck for dining, relaxing and watching the sunsets.
