HIGHLAND PARK ADDITION The clients were a young couple with three small children, and after living in the house for a few years realized all the things they wanted to change. The kitchen was too small, the living spaces too compartmentalized, and the second floor was not as functional as they needed it to be. We repurposed existing rooms and added on fifty percent to the square footage. The addition at the back of the house provided for a gracious kitchen, dining and family room, and the addition over the garage allowed for an office, laundry room and additional bathroom. Renovation of the master suite was also included in the work. The project was recognized by the Home Builders Association of Great Chicago receiving the Gold Key for outstanding design.
